Thank you for your interest in the I.C.S.G.A., LLC (Independent Christian Schools of Georgia-Alabama) web site. This site is designed to give you a general overview of what our Athletic Association is all about. Since our league began in 1993, we have seen our league grow to more than 25 schools. Our member schools include independent schools, Christian educational ministries (church sponsored), and private Christian schools. Our present goal is to have 40 schools participating in various sports.

Although we do have several larger schools in our association, the main emphasis of our association is to focus on smaller or medium size schools. If schools grow to have more than 250 students in grades 9-12, you may be better served to join a larger athletic association. Presently, we offer two different divisions of play; Class A (smaller schools) and Class AA (larger schools). We also offer full region and state playoff competition in all sports. Class A schools have approximately 20 to 50 students in grades 9-12. Class AA has more than 50 students in grades 9-12.

The I.C.S.G.A., LLC differs from other associations in several areas. INDEPENDENT – First and foremost we are an Independent Athletic Association. This simply means that Christian educators are free to pursue their educational ministries without any interference from the I.C.S.G.A., LLC. Our association only involves itself in matters relating to your participation in Christian athletics. CHRISTIAN – Another way that we are different from many athletic associations is that we are unashamedly Christian. This simply means that everything we do should be done in a way that brings honor and glory to Jesus Christ. It also means that everything is always handled in a Christian and Biblical way in matters of disputes or disagreements. SCHOOLS – Our association also promotes the highest possible standards of academics by realizing that sports is only a very small portion of a student's life. Academics are always first and foremost. Schools are encouraged to have high academic standards for any student to participate in sports. As an association, we understand that it is far more important to build a great Christian adult than it is to build a great athlete. We also promote Christian character and behavior at all times, both on and off the court – honesty, integrity, and Christian friendship one with another. GEORGIA-ALABAMA – Presently, the I.C.S.G.A., LLC limits its member schools to the states of Georgia and Alabama. Other schools desiring to join the I.C.S.G.A., LLC should be within a reasonable driving distance from the other schools in our association.
